Roughs
The Night
I chose my second thumbnail as it captures my message strongly - of my love for the beautiful night. I fixed the shadows slightly (mainly the "YI" leaves and the bird's tail). The varying placement of the moon is to experiment with different emphasis. The first has a balance in focus on both shadows and moon; the second focuses on the moon. For the font, I want something that is cursive and romantic but have yet to find the perfect one. Thus, the words are written freehand.

The Cat
There was a dilemma between the second and third thumbnail. Ultimately, I chose the second as fish/fishbones are generally more affiliated with cats than fences and should convey my message better.

I reused the fat cat in my first thumbnail. Some said they do not see the last bones as a whole to form the "g" as the "O" bone is too prominent (from thumbnail). Hence, that is redrawn and I added small bones to join the alphabetical bones so the fish looks connected as a whole. Font used here is "Calvin and Hobbes" to communicate the fun, mischievous nature of cats.
